Unleash Your Musical Passion

Our Story

The Tokyo Moon is an exciting new music project – the brainchild of Ian Hewitt and Mike Hellard both based in Staffordshire, UK.

The origins for this music project can be easily traced back to a musical partnership which spans several decades. Ian and Mike have played together in several bands along the way and have a shared personal passion for writing original, creative music and have performed live with the best sound systems at the largest local venues in the Stafford area.

The key focus for the new “The Tokyo Moon” project is to write, produce and release some new original music with a modern twist. Drawing naturally on the “spirit” of their past high energy live band era, the new material is focused on creative melodies, a solid fusion of musical elements and high-quality studio production.

“”We have been working on this project for a little while now. These things always take longer than expected… But, we have now reached the exciting phase of planning the release of the first Album of work.””

The Debut Album – “World of Broken Dreams” was released on 12th January 2026.

“”Can’t wait to release this new music to the world - Exciting Times…!””
